What can an ex-hostage teach you about success?
In 1989, Twenty Twenty was held hostage in the Camp Hill prison riot. The riot was 3 days long, during the time the young officer was tied up, beaten, and left to die. In the years that followed, he was diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, and undeniably his life fell apart.
Incredibly, he decided to change his life. Rather than just survive, he began to thrive. He overcame many personal fears and personal demons. To share his vision, he changed his name to that of perfect vision, Twenty Twenty. And not only was he the first person I interviewed on July 20th, 2009, that interview was my first ever interview.
What resulted was a great session during which listeners learned the benefits of working together and being a leader. He discussed how our lives reach out in small ripples to touch other people, whom we may never even meet. He also offered a great way to get past fear.
