Often people talk about success, how easy it is to achieve. Actions speak louder than words, yet not many people take steps, even baby steps towards their dreams and goals. It is far easier to talk about success than it is to actually take action.
What action should I take?
Reaching your definition of success requires taking a single step towards the goal. Follow that step with another step and then another. You can not swallow an elephant in one bite. Think about what you want, then define your success.
Why define success?
Your personal definition of success is your goal. If you are trying to reach a goal set by someone else, chances are slim that you will take any action. Picture your success in all the glory that imagine, if the image makes you happy, you will want to take action.

What if I am scared?
When you were little, someone taught you how to ride a bike. You saw the older kids on just 2 wheels and this became your goal. It was scary when your dad released the back of the bike and yelled balance and suddenly you were on your own. Yet with that release you were free. Even if you fell, you tried again because your goal of riding on two wheels was that important.
Now, you are older, but is your dream any less important?
Your dream is more important than ever. Your success is steps away as long as you keep moving towards it. While others talk about success and talk about action, you are moving towards your own success. And yes that makes you a success!
Yesterday you were told to announce everyday to everyone that you are wealthy until you believe it heart and soul. Probably you questioned why I said to do that and what the importance was. Well, the answer is both simple and complicated.
What is the simple answer?
The simple answer is that affirmations are something that when repeated over and over again have the ability to change the mind. Using a firm declaration of something to be true, it is intended to convince the mind that what it wants to happen will. Sort of a sub-conscious programming.
How is it complicated?
Using general or overly specific affirmations are not beneficial. Saying “I want a job” is a general statement that might have you land a job working a gas station, managing a crab ship or any job. The job may not be anything you like! However an affirmation of “I will win the lottery today” is too specific. Better suggestions would be “I am a successful business owner” then specify your type business. Or “I make more money every day”
What is up with the present tense?
So you noticed the “I am” or “I make” part of the trick of affirmations is to make in the present tense. Many people theorize that by saying a future tense the affirmation is always in the future. Yet, the biggest reason is that the current statement with the “I” or first person helps your mind encourage that realization.
What does that mean?
This means your mind is more eager to make this a reality. You want your reality to be your affirmation, so you make it present tense and regarding yourself. You want it to be good, so say positive things.

I hope you got more blessings than you can handle. Just in case you are blue because “it’s been so tight this year” here’s a thought or two…
If you feel bad because your presents are meager and few, think about how few people in the world can afford to give any gifts. Or imagine the ones so excited over a gift as small as a pencil or a couple pieces of candy.
Perhaps you are disappointed because your housing situation isn’t like it was. If you have a pillow and a bed, you are far better off than many people in the world today.
Maybe you are disappointed because you can’t dress up in special clothes for Christmas. There are people in the world who eagerly take our “throw away” clothes and feel like Santa landed and gave them the biggest Christmas ever.
And if you ate something today, then think about how much of the world is starving.
You are here, reading this blog on a computer, this means you have access to internet which is in a heated building. You have access to electricity and chances are you are wearing clothes that are not in terrible condition. Chances are you ate something today, even if it was Ramen Noodles, or PB & J… you my friend, you are wealthy beyond what great many people in this world can even imagine…

It should be simple, writing a blog post every day, especially since I was 5 I wanted to be a writer telling stories. Yet, there is a certain amount of hesitation each time I start to write a blog post.
Let me tell you facts and figures because these are concrete and true. While I may have opinions on those facts and figures they are certain. Grades and teachers proved that I was good at those. Yet most of my writing was criticized, the papers would bleed from the red ink. So my dream of writing slowly became one of sorrow.
Yet, having written an almost weekly blog for at least 4 years, I have people tell me how much my writing means to them. Maybe it’s that I write from the heart, maybe I didn’t write the stories the way the teachers wanted… I don’t know.
But here is the deal, it means a lot to me to see comments, it makes me feel like I am doing something right. While at the same time, I have a lot of fear of writing. What if I don’t teach you? What if I don’t reach you?
So I worry, I am a writer, and worry about my writing. I am a writer and am afraid of sharing my writing with you. Doesn’t that sound absolutely absurd?
But then I can turn the question around easily enough, what are you afraid of? What are you not sharing with the world? What are you hiding?
I don’t care how much you say you are brave and fearless, we all have our fears doubts and insecurities. Yes, I would really love it if you commented below, it does help me to know I am reaching someone. But the bigger thing is take action. That’s where the hardest step is. Take action, push through your fear and do it anyway.
As the year draws to a close it is time to discuss setting goals. This is a sore subject for so many people and even makes some angry. Yet not having a goal is like making a cross country drive without a map.
What is a goal?
Each of us has our own dreams, ideas, and vision of success. Add in your needs, your strengths and weaknesses, it means there can not be a single universal goal, nor even a plan on how to achieve it. Back to the road map, goal setting is like deciding on a destination. When you decide where you want to be you can start planning.
How do I achieve a goal?
After you have decided to travel from Florida to California you would need to decide how you are going to get there. What roads are you going to take? Are you going to take side trips? Where are you going to stop?
In setting goals, perhaps you decided to get a website online. Now you need to ask yourself some questions. Do you want to have a site you can maintain? Are you going to hire someone? What do you want your site to look like?
Why so many questions?
If you have been on a road trip you know there are lots of questions. But the questions help define how you will get to California. In setting goals, the questions help you decide what is needed and decide on a route to get to the end goal. Back to getting a website online, your first stop is getting a domain name, then hosting. Getting information to put on the site. You can’t know what to put on the site without knowing what your site is going to cover.
Can I do this?
While the end goal is your destination, when you plot out all the points along the way the path becomes easier. Just knowing what you need to do and when will help. Your future is in your hands! YOU GO ROCKSTAR!!
Well I asked you to list your wishes, perhaps I should tell you what my wishes are….
My wishes for the world is for everyone to learn to put LOVE first. If we all put love first, learned to love ourselves and others, there would be far fewer problems in the world. Really that would solve a lot of problems. There would be more peace, more acceptance and less abuse. My second wish would be that there was clean water for everyone, everywhere. And third an end to famine.
For the community I wish for an end of abuse, emotional, physical, sexual, all abuse. More jobs and the third wish more money flowing around the community.
For my family and friends, I wish health, even more love, and enough money for each to have all their debts erased and bills paid for the next 5 years.
As for me, my three wishes are to be a writer whose books help people (and makes me $$), to spend quality time with the important people in my life, and lastly I wish to see more of this world.
You will probably notice a recurring theme of Love. Love is massively important, it makes everything better, more beautiful and more worthwhile. But let me explain that more tomorrow.

Should you share your passion?
Your passion is part of you, if you want to share it with others you should. However if your passion will tarnish your business image or go against your image or job, then it would be best to keep it quiet. Some jobs will not approve of you sharing your love of pole dancing even if you explain that you stay clothed and it is a healthy way to exercise.
How can you share your passion?
Sharing your passion is entirely up to you. It is a balancing act deciding if your passion should be a hobby or full time. Will sharing your passion change your business or your job? If you want to share your passion, blogs are a wonderful way with easy to use format. You can choose to tell some people about you blog and not others. This gives you a little bit of distance. If you are online, there is a possiblity it could be exposed, so you may want to write an anonymous blog.
While you may need to distance your name, do not distance yourself from your passion. The light and hope that your passion brings you is reflected in all you do which will help you.
Your passion feeds your energy, feeds your soul. For those reasons and more follow your passion, because it reflects in everything.
Should your passion make money?
It doesn’t matter if your passion makes you money or not, you still need to follow your passion. If your passion is not an income making thing, make it into a hobby, but stay involved. In my blog posts I talk about abuse, unfortunately talking about abuse is not something that makes money. However this is okay, because I don’t want to talk about it all day. There are many people who love music; however, for most it is not a profitable market.
Should your passion stay a hobby?
Sometimes your passions only stay as a hobby. If you enjoy your passion only as a hobby when it becomes full time you lose your passion. Graphic design is something I really enjoy. You can see some of my graphics on RockstarGuideBooks.com, or MindMovingMeditations.com or Selftalkforwinners.com. I did the product graphics for all of those, of course, I should hope that I would do my own graphics. Plus Store.BlueLemonadeStand.com which has graphics and images and my wild imagination on various different products. However if it were a full time job, I would no longer enjoy it. So you must decide if you will still enjoy it when it is full time, or if it will become a burden.
