New Site goes live Monday Jan 18 2010

For months now I have had something bothering me. A website or two with ideas that I liked, yet had a feeling that there was something I was missing. This feeling hounded me for months, like looking at a problem and not being able to answer it…

Finally I bought a domain name that fit with the idea as far as I understood it. A week later started the Christmas holidays here, there and every where, followed by a couple of New Years traditions… However the last piece of the idea came to me in the form of a Christmas present from my friend… and the website filled my dreams… as soon as the holiday events ended the website required my attention, each night more details came to mind.

Tomorrow it’s going live.

But the inspiration is not mine (from Above) and the focus is not to be on me or mine…

So if you want more information, look for the following people, join their newsletters, follow them, see what they have to say tomorrow.

Become a Rockstar Writer

As you can guess from my writings and ramblings I do rather enjoy writing, and am not afraid to share my stories. However the same may not be true for you.

Isn’t it time you finally wrote that short story you’ve talked about writing?

An Unseminar7 I met the wonderful Geoff Hoff. He and his writing partner; Steve Mancini, are award-winning, best- selling writers. They’ve also written popular how-to books on writing.

Now they’re giving a hands-on, on-line course called “You Can Write a Short Story” where they will take you by the hand and walk with you through the entire process of writing a short story.

The BEST part is YOU WILL have a short story done at the end of the course! Imagine showing people what you’ve written, getting their praise and respect. Geoff and Steve will even give you feedback on the story you write.

Geoff and Steve have been writing together for over 11 years. They’ve written a best-selling satirical novel and write for an award-winning web show. They’ve both also written lots of short stories.

After Unseminar 7, rest assured I know they are a lot of fun to talk to and laugh with.

They love writing and they love teaching people about writing. They say it makes them feel like proud parents when one of their students succeeds.

Geoff even cries a little.

I’d sure love to hear one of my people made Geoff cry a bit over your great story.

The course is 6 weeks long, beginning on January 14th, so you need to register now. Especially since I forgot to send this email Monday. *blushing*

In the 6 weeks you get 6 lessons via email/ web and 6 weekly phone calls where you can ask them questions directly.

http://www.TipsOnWriting.net/class

NOW, here’s your gift. The course is normally $97, but they’ve offered my readers and friends a special discount. If you apply the coupon code ROCKSTAR at checkout, you will get $20 off the price of registration.

Plus, you’ll get some other great bonuses that I haven’t told you about! See them here:

http://www.TipsOnWriting.net/class

If you have ever thought you’d like to write, or if you’ve ever been confused by the writing process, I urge you to take their course.

If you’re a writer and find yourself overwhelmed with ideas or lack any new ideas, or if you frequently experience what people call “writer’s block”, I urge you to take their course.

The course starts on Thursday, January 14th (TOMORROW) and the first phone call will be held the following Wednesday. But don’t worry, Geoff will be glad to help you catch up if you get this email after the 14th but before Wednesday, January 20th.

To find out more about it:

Sincerely,

MJ Schrader

PS Join their writing course and when you are done, you can share your story with me. If you want and you upload your story on the internet I will even share a link to your story with my reader.

Free publicity to go with that brand new story… :)

PPS If you miss the class, get their book!  It’s a great deal at $14.97.

2009 Year in Review

It is that time of year, that everyone should be receiving Christmas cards. In my case I can not send a card to each of you my readers, because I don’t have all of your addresses, nor do I have time enough to address all those cards. Yet you are still very important to me.

However, what I learned last year, was a picture is worth a thousand words. Sending a simple picture of me with my “family” was a great way to share a thousand Christmas words.

Now this year I decided to do something different and made an online scrapbook. Thus between the pictures, the “Christmas Time is Here” song and all that’s at least 20,000 words I am sharing with you and that HAS TO BE BETTER than a card right?

Ok, all joking aside… cards aren’t my thing. Writing is my lifelong dream, while graphics are a passion of mine. So writing a blog post to you and showing you a few pictures from the past year is the best way for me to send a Christmas card.

Thank you for spending valuable time with me. Thank you for all you do. This year has been so stressful, with jobs, finances, economic worries, worries about society and more that I know sometimes you may question what was good this past year… but you are a gift to me. Your life touches so many that you will never know…

Thank you, and I hope you enjoy my Christmas card, please feel free to comment below.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

Make 3 wishes today

Earlier this week I asked you to make 20 wishes, and dream as big as you wanted.

Today I only want 3, actually 3 times 4.

  • Make 3 wishes for the world.
  • Make 3 wishes for your community
  • Make 3 wishes for your family or friends
  • Make 3 wishes for you.

Wish for world free of disease, for love, for hope.  Wish for a brighter tomorrow.

Make a wish for the lady you see at the post office who looks sad.  Make a wish for the teenager who delivered your pizza.

Wish for happy healthy family, family peace, whatever your heart desires.

Don’t wish just for what you know is possible, and like before DREAM BIG!

And believe that anything is possible, believe in your wishes, have the faith of a little child.  :) We all need that in today’s world, to have faith and believe.

Please share your wishes with me in the comments below!

YOU ARE AMAZING!

20 Wishes

Yesterday I was listening to Christmas Carols, and yes I am the crazy person that sings them loud in my car.  But Delilah said something about creating a true wish list.

20 items that were as fanciful and as big a wish as you wanted. No holds barred.

Write a letter to Santa with the faith of a 5 year old, and write your wishes as big as you can dream. Don’t tell me the sky is the limit when there are Footprints on the Moon.

Now this may seem childish, but do you remember getting the Sears catalog and wishing for all those things even when you knew some of them you wouldn’t get?

But you wished and you hoped. So that is my challenge for you today, make 20 wishes. Write them down, bring them back here, share your top 5, in the comments below. Share 10 or 20 if you want, but hey we can all dream together.

Dream On!

Better Join the Newsletter!

If you aren’t a member of the newsletter, either here or on Rockstar Guide Books you really should be. Just yesterday I added two new freebies for my readers. One of them is the lyrics from 18 Christmas songs and it includes some Christmas autoresponder letters, the other a Christmas decorating book,

Now you may be curious how this will help you. The 18 lyrics, if you put them in your WordPress site, and schedule one per day this will give you 18 posts. Even if you don’t have WordPress this is 18 pages of posts. The posts are Christmas related, but it is new content and related to the season. Please leave my website at the bottom please. If you don’t know how to schedule posts on your WordPress site the you should consider Rockstar Guide to WordPress.

In that zip package are some autoresponder letters, you can use these to schedule some emails to go out regularly. Again more content, and a way to stay in touch with those who are part of your email list. If you don’t get what I am saying with autoresponders then maybe you need Rockstar Starter Guide to Autoresponders.

The last is a Decorating for Christmas book. This is a gift from Pat’s Coaching Students, you can read it yourself, share it with your list or even sell it. And; yes, I have a video on how to get set up on E-Junkie so you can sell things. But you can sell the “Decorating for Christmas” for $9. If you sell 10 that’s $90 for you :)

Oddly this was not intended as a sales letter, but merely to tell you about the new gifts. Yet, since my business is teaching people, and someone will ask me what to do, I had to mention them. Really I do recommend the WordPress book if you haven’t gotten started online. It is easy to use.

But no matter what, join the newsletter, get the latest freebies. Get your “Decorating for Christmas” ebook and sell it online, give it to your readers. Use the other information to stay in contact. It’s all free for you to use.

Happy Holidays!
